Alternative Payments is a purpose-built platform for service businesses that works out of the box. It includes a branded client portal, PSA integrations, autopay rules, automated collections, and accounts payable built in. No developers needed, no custom configuration required, no stitching together of separate tools.
Stripe has no out-of-the-box integrations with PSA platforms. MSPs and service businesses that use Stripe typically have to build and maintain custom integrations to sync invoice data from their PSA, manually reconcile payments, and update accounting records. Alternative Payments integrates natively with ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, and SuperOps on the PSA side, and with QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage Intacct on accounting. All integrations are bidirectional and require no custom development.
Stripe doesn't support MSP-specific billing workflows out of the box.
